The tulips just go on and on

Last time I was in Seattle (early May) we went to see the tulips. Mostly I shot with a better camera. But this is just a quick iPhone pano stitched together with Stitch app. It just gives a feel for how endless those fields really are.

Great movie set towns in Wisconsin

On my way back from two weeks of shooting in Minnesota, I discovered two of the many towns in Wisconsin that would make great movie sets: Lake Mills and Fort Atkinson. Here are two shots from Fort Atkinson. Lake Mills is even cuter.

One reason why Minneapolis is now the number 1 ranked bicycling city in America

I read that Minneapolis has surpassed Portland as the best city in the U.S. for bicycling.... And now trhat I've spent 2 days riding there, I see why. Great trails, exceptional bike lines to facilitate real movement on city streets; and this; cheap hourly bike rental facilities. And most important, thousands of people who actually ride their bikes. Thats the most important ingredient to training a city to accept bikers, I am convinced....

The most beautiful street I've ever seen

On the last leg of a 30-mile bike ride Saturday, I pedaled down Mississippi River Parkway in St Paul. Miles of sumptuous houses on the east side of the street... All with spacious lawns and gorgeous, stately trees.

A new Apollo crew meets for ray gun practice

Met the new Apollo crew at the Neil Armstrong museum yesterday. Flight specialist Dani conferred with lunar module pilot Eli and commander Adi to learn best procedures for a manned expedition to Mars.
